Who woulda thought those words would ever come out my mouth!
Picture this: the anti-study girl decides she just might want to study again. Yep, you read that right, I’m going back to school to become a Health Coach at the Institute for Integrative Nutrition (IIN). I have spent almost every day for the past three years since graduating high school in 2015 convinced that I never wanted to go to university or study ever again. It wasn’t that I hated high school but you could say I left everything to the last minute and organisation was not my strong point. And not to mention the fact that stress and I don’t get along too well. Whenever people did ask me what I wanted to do after school I’d always say that I just wanted to work and earn money and save up for XYZ. I was more than happy working for our little family business at home every day and I still am but something in me changed last year and I become more open to the idea of studying again, I just didn’t know what I wanted to do. As many of you will already know last year I started using essential oil and even now sell them as business on the side of my day job and I also started taking a serious interest in health, wellness and reducing the toxic load in our home.
Late December 2018 I came across a lifestyle practice called Ayurveda through the gorgeous Sahara Rose. She was advertising on Instagram about IIN’s online course she did to become a Health Coach and I was immediately interested. I emailed her and she passed me onto one of the amazing IIN admissions team representatives and the rest if history. Now it doesn’t go without saying the many hours and weeks of research I did into the course, IIN and their past alumni *cough* Pete Evans, Rachel Finch and Melissa Ambrosini just to name a few. So my official first day of school is March 18 and I don’t think I’ve ever been so excited and eager to start learning again. I suppose the whole point of this post is to update you guys on what my 2019 is going to look like and to remind you that it’s never too late to go back to school and live our your dreams!
