My skin has been beyond temperamental in recent months. I don’t know what exactly has caused it to have such a mental breakdown but it has and I’ve tried just about everything under the sun to get it back on track. Face masks have always been a big love of mine and I’ve started to collect a few over the past six months. I now try to do a mask once or twice a week to help my skin heal, each time using a different product that targets a specific problem; whether it be for a breakout, redness or dryness. These are the four face masks I currently have on rotation to, each working it’s magic in different ways.
I love this French pharmacy brand and already own a few things from their range – the Beauty Elixir being one of my top travel essentials. This mask is what I reach for when my skin is feeling really dry and dehydrated. I quite often suffer from small dry patches around my eyes, eyebrows and on my cheeks and this is the perfect solution for adding some extra moisture to the skin. It feels lovely when applied and has a silky creamy texture which I love and the mask can also be used overnight if your skin is feeling particularly dry.
This has been a holy grail skincare products of my for probably three or four years now – I even purchased a tub whilst having a skin emergency in Venice, Italy! It combats even the most stubborn of breakouts and works especially well for pesky hormonal breakouts or bacne (back acne). Plus it can’t go without mentioning that is smells like minty heaven. I have repurchased this so many times and I love that it is made with natural ingredients. I really want to try out some of the other fresh face masks from Lush.
This product is one of the greatest online purchases I have ever made. I know that’s a big statement but it’s true! I had never heard anything about the brand nor the product before but was desperate and sold on the idea of it being calming and a skin rescue. This mask is a life saver when everything has hit the fan with my skin. It helps reduce redness, dry patches, calms angry breakouts and is like the ultimate cup of chamomile tea for your skin.
Sometimes I find my skin can be more oilier than usual for no reason – it could come done to a change in the weather and/or exercise. This mask is perfect for removing excess oils built up on the skin and even helps to reduce large pores. I feel like after I’ve applied this my skin feels like it’s old self again. Unlike other charcoal masks infamous on social media this one does not just about rip your skin off – the amount of horror stories I have seen on Facebook is unreal. I also love to use this if I’ve got a problem area with lots of blackheads.
