About a month or so ago I found myself browsing through the Christmas category on Pinterest (follow me here), searching for some festive baking ideas when I came across a few Christmas-themed brownie recipes, each with a different decorative design on top. It was then I knew I just had to bake these cute little Christmas trees and write a whole post on them. I hope you enjoy this as much as I did creating them!
Chocolate brownie mix
Green food colouring
Decorative, edible candies
Bake your brownie batch and allow to cool completely before cutting into small triangular shapes. Then add a drop or two of the food colouring to your icing mix until you’ve reached your desired shade of green, then pop mixture into a piping bag and pipe. I’ve chosen to do some with icing all over and some with a squiggle down the middle. Next is the fun part, decorating! Do whatever you feel like, I’ve thrown on a few mini rainbow chocolates and metallic balls to act as baubles.
Okay so even though these are a bit of a fail due to the fact I forgot what shape an isosceles triangle was, they still ended up looking pretty cute and very festive – I reckon these would be awesome for a children’s party.
