From the moment Tanya Burr announced she would be launching a line of lipsticks for Tanya Burr Cosmetics, I knew I would have to get a hold of them. And so on the day they were released on Superdrug online I swiftly added all six shades to my cart and awaited their arrival. As I mentioned before there are six wonderful shades ranging from everyday nudes to the more classic reds. These have quickly become my go-to lipstick choice for all the right reasons and not to mention are super Instagram worthy!
I’m obsessed with the choice of packaging Tanya has designed for this line, which gives off major Old Hollywood vibes. The gold square tube feels expensive and luxe but still comes in with an affordable price tag. I must say usually when it comes to drugstore lipstick releases I’ll pick out a few colours that I like, but it’s very rarely I’ll love the entire range and purchase every single one. Although a selection of six shades may seem small, it certainly doesn’t lack on the colour variety and beautiful pigmentation. These are super easy to wear, blendable and leave a lovely sheen to the lips. I love a creamy formulation over a matte anyday and all six shades feel super comfortable and wearable for long periods of time – I even ate a greasy burger and my lips still looked fabulous after. The range features: a pinky nude, pinky brown, burgundy plum, pinky coral, hot pink and orangey red.
Birthday Cake is a gorgeous pinky nude with slight blue undertones making it totally a Kim K.W shade and is perfect for school or work environments due to is subtly. Wild Safari is a beautiful orangey red with blue undertones which is my staple colour when wanting to make a statement. I always feel super confident in red as it makes your teeth appear whiter and brighter. Pink Cocoa has become my everyday favourite that I leave in my handbag, this pinky brown is super on trend right now and possibly my most loved from the collection. Central Park is a vibrant hot pink, something I always gravitate towards when it’s a girls night out and perfect if your wardrobe is 90% monochrome like mine. Big Kiss is a lovely burgundy plum is the ultimate autumnal shade, but can be worn all year ’round. I recently wore this colour with a pale pink floral playsuit and it was gorgeous. Happily Ever After is possibly my new shade for summer, this pinky coral is perfect for when you want something with a pop of colour and throws me back to my European summer holiday.
I’m excited to see what Tanya Burr Cosmetics has in store for future lipsticks launches and 2017 releases.
