Now that winter has well and truly arrived it’s time to whip out some of my gorgeous, bright lipsticks and give them some love. For the majority of the year I tend to choose a nude lip, my all time favourite being NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream in Stockholm, but when the colder months roll around and my wardrobe turns into monochrome madness I like to add a pop of colour with lipstick. I’m currently having a real moment with the colour pink – I feel like I’m six years old all over again – pink lipstick, pink knitted jumpers, I’ve even got my eye on some pink trainers. The pink shade I’m frequenting at the moment is an old one from my collection, L’Oreal Colour Riche Matte Addiction in Erotique. I love a good matte formula and this one lasts all day and feels super comfortable on the lips. It’s certainly more of a pinky brown than a true pink but I still love it and am on my second tube of it – that’s how much I really love it! Along with my pink obsession I also love a good berry shade and statement red. Does anyone else feel more confident and put-together in bright lipstick? I know I certainly do. Tanya Burr Cosmetics Lipstick in Big Kiss is a gorgeous deep pinky berry and is super glossy on the lips – read my full review here. I feel like this shade also really compliments my green eyes and blonde hair too. As for red I’m loving more orange base tones and the shade Fab Orange from Maybelline’s Colour Drama Lip Pencil range is my favourite and literally does not budge – It even passed my burger and fries test! I love drugstore lip products but am saving up my pennies to branch out and try some higher end lipsticks.
